What makes C5Y different:
In a yoga culture that is highly focused on perfecting the perfect pose, C5Y goes against mainstream to teach students the WHY behind their postures. Through individual anatomy, exploration, options and modifications, C5Y teaches students how to make the postures work for their bodies instead of fitting themselves into the postures. The anatomical work gives students the understanding, power, confidence and control to be in the practice.
Our Mission:
Providing high quality yoga led by skilled and mindful teachers who share a passion for community results in more people enriching their lives, the community they live in, and the people around them. We aim to create a space where everyone can come as they are, with what they can offer, and grow together within their individual practice.
“C5Y has improved my flexibility, stability and balance. Everyday I leave the studio I feel refreshed, relaxed, energized & grateful that I made it to my mat that day! It totally brightens my mood!”
-Barb M.
“C5Y has competent, personable, and positive teachers who go the extra mile to help each of us with our individual goals; Walking into Chapter Five for the first time is one of the best things I’ve done for myself in a very long time.”
-Leslie A.
“During travels, I have visited studios in other cities and states. Few can even compare. I have even attended some classes where I quietly stayed in child's pose during a sequence because I knew what the instructor was doing could have a negative impact on my body.”
-Stephanie G.
Chapter Five Yoga blossomed out of the owner, Jessa Peterson’s, passion for community and desire to make people feel better in their bodies. Jessa witnessed the incredible impact yoga had on people’s lives when she owned and operated Orange Sky Yoga for almost a decade but in her heart felt like she could do more. She left to have the opportunity to do more for the yoga community and the community at large. So many more people could benefit from yoga if it was more accessible for them. Jessa hopes to create an inclusive environment that provides affordable high quality yoga.
